Well, Monday morning I woke Baily up earlier than usual. I told her that her birthday is going to be announced on the news. I didn't want her to miss it. She sat there with sleepy eyes and the time came. Guess what!!? They announced 3 or 4 kids birthdays, and none of them were Baily's. I was so mad.
Nothing worked out for her. I sent 21 invitations to school with her, but no one from her class showed up at the party. Two neigbors and a family friend were there. Baily had fun anyway and didn't seem to notice that anything was wrong.
Yesterday evening she got to go fishing with her new Barbie fishing pole. She caught a little bass, so that made her happy. But then the poor kid fell in!!! She was standing on the edge of the dock, trying to learn how to cast her pole. I told her several times to scoot back a little. Sure enough, next thing I knew, she went off of the dock!!!
I ran over to the edge and looked down, there she was (un-hurt) with both feet buried deep into the mud. We were lucky that the water level was low. I got her out of there and she sat on the end of the dock with her muddy feet hanging over and said," I don't want to go fishing any more." LOL
Little stinker. She had said that when she's 7 she's gonna stop sleeping with her purple bunny. Well lastnight at bed time, on her 7th birthday, she said,"Nana, I'm just gonna wait 'til I'm 8 to quit sleeping with my bunny". Bless her heart, this seemed like a rough birthday, haha.
